Shortage of Sand is due to floods caused by incessant rains: Minister Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose

The sand shortage was caused by flooding of the rivers Godavari, Penna and Krishna. Deputy CM Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose said. He alleged that TDP is politicizing Sand issue. Minister Bose spoke to reporters on at the East Godavari district Mandapet. In the wake of the shortage, 20 per cent of the robot sand will be used for the work undertaken by the state government.

Ensuring that the sand problem will be solved soon, the minister said that the action is being taken against those who illegally store sand. Chief Minister Jagan is ready to raise the wages of sanitation workers and would visit Mummidivaram soon. Bose asserted.
