Shun ragging, medicos told by Judge Y Veerraju
Tirupati: The third Additional District Judge and Mandal Legal Service Authority Chairman Y Veerraju has called upon the medicos to drive away ragging evil. If anyone involved in ragging, then they have to face severe repercussions and those subjected to ragging by seniors and their parents have to face serious mental agony.
He addressed the medicos of SV Medical College, Tirupati at a programme on ragging awareness on Saturday. Expressing happiness to know that there was no ragging in SV Medical College (SVMC) he said that despite several efforts ragging was taking place in various educational institutions which should be stopped by all students.
There should be friendly attitude between seniors and juniors in which there was no place for ragging. There was no benefit with ragging, instead by involving in that one has to face legal problems and their future will be at risk. Those who encourage ragging also has to face legal action.
In view of all these, one should be away from ragging, he advised. The programme was attended by Principal Dr G Ravi Prabhu, Ruia Hospital Superintendent Dr B Sidda Naik, Vice Principal Dr Vasundhara, Dr S Ram Mohan, Dr Janardhan Raju and others.
