SSD activists demand arrest of TDP activist in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: The members of Samatha Sainik Dal (SSD) on Friday demanded that the police arrest TDP activist M Venkat for insulting Amaravati MLA T Sridevi at Anantavaram village.
The members demand that the police take stern action against the accused for insulting the MLA by saying that if a Dalit enters the Ganesh pandal, the sanctity of God will be lost.
The members staged a protest at Ambedkar statue at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram. Speaking on the occasion, SSD state president P Maheswara Rao said as former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had discriminated Dalits and other low caste people. The same was followed by his cadre and activists.
He also demanded that the police arrest and take stringent action on former MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar. He requested Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into various attacks and atrocities on Dalits under TDP regime.
