Vijayawada: TDP activist arrested for objectionable comments against Minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao
Vijayawada: Kanchikacharla police arrested a Telugu Desam party functionary Y Padmaja of Mangalagiri on Tuesday for allegedly making some objectionable comments against Civil supplies Minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao.
According to information, Padmaja had recently made some objectionable comments against the Minister as the war of words between the TDP and YSRCP leaders flared up. Later, M Mukteswara Rao, a resident of Gottimukkala village under Kanchikacharla mandal, lodged a complaint with the police alleging that the Padmaja had made some objectionable comments.
Basing on the complaint, the police arrested Padmaja in Mangalagiri and brought her to Kanchikacharla. The police released her after questioning her. Later, speaking to the media, Padmaja said the harsh comments made by Kodali Nani against the TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu were bad. She said it was not correct to criticise Naidu.
