State government fails to implement 10 per cent reservations to higher caste poor people- PCC vice president
Kadapa: Finding fault with YSR Congress government of its failure in implementing 10 per cent reservations in state government jobs to higher caste poor people, Pradesh Congress Committee(PCC) vice president N.Tulasi Reddy said that his party has filed the petition in the high court and submitted a representation to the Governor recently.
Addressing press conference at Vempalli on Friday the PCC vice president recalled that Indian Parliament has made law by making an amendment of article 124 facilitating 10 per cent reservations to the higher caste poor people and it came in existence after President of India accepted the Parliament proposal from 12 January 2019.
He said all the states in the country implementing the reservations but Andhra Pradesh government only implementing them only in educational institutions. The Congress leader pointed out the chief minister should clear the government stand and answer the public over the issue. He said jobs of village volunteer posts were totally made politicized due to the intervention of local MLA's into the issue. Party leaders were present.
