State govt committed to welfare of Brahmin community: MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy
Tirupati: YSRCP government is committed to the welfare of the members of Brahmin community and is keen on helping those economically poor among them, said local MLA Bhuman Karunakar Reddy here on Sunday.
He was speaking after giving away loan sanction orders to the tuneof Rs 5,70 lakh to 12 Arundati and Vasishta groups set up under AP Brahmin Cooperative Credit Society for taking up self- employmentventures.
Stating that the YSRCP government had restored the hereditary rights of temple priests and also provided Rs 100 crore to AP Brahmin Corporation for taking up welfare programmes and economic activities for the benefit of the members of Brahmin community, the MLA soughtthe blessing of Brahmins for the YSRCP government.
On the occasion, AP Brahmin Cooperative Credit Society vice-presidentC Swarajyalakshmi, Credit Society district governing body member C Hanumanth Rao, Branch Manager Balakirshnamurthy and others felicitated MLA and sought his support for the credit society to expand its activities to cover more and more poor Brahmins.
