Stress on workplace safety

Dwaraka Tirumala: The 48th national safety week celebrations at Godrej Agrovet Ltd palm oil mill concluded on Friday. Prizes were distributed to the winners of different competitions on the occasion.

During the week-long celebrations, the safety department organised various competitions for employees, ladies, workers and contract agencies and others to create awareness on safety issues.

Speaking at the concluding ceremony, West Godavari Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories R Trinadha Rao appreciated the GAVL for its efforts to maintain a high-level of workplace safety.

Inspector of Factories Srinivasa Rao spoke about the high benchmark of safety at palm oil mill, especially with training and awareness being provided to employees and contract workers.

On the occasion, a safety pledge was administered to the workers and employees.

Reading out the annual safety report, executive (safety) Aseef Shaik spoke on the initiatives being implemented by his department. He also highlighted that recently Pothepalli OPP received national safety award.

HR head V Nagapraveen welcomed the guests and stressed that the motto should be Safety First. Factory GM Kumar and others were present.
