Visakhapatnam: HPCL celebrates National Safety Week
Visakhapatnam: National Safety Week was observed at HPCL – Visakh Refinery from March 4 to 10. On March 4, National Safety Week celebrations were formally inaugurated with administration of Safety Pledge at all work locations by the refinery and contractor employees.
The 49th National Safety Week concluding function was organised at HPCL – VR on March 9. Joint Chief Inspector of Factories, Visakhapatnam, J Siva Shankar Reddy, graced the occasion as the chief guest. K B S Prasad, Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories, was the guest of honor.
The function was chaired by Executive Director – Visakh Refinery V Ratanraj. ED – VRMP S Raja was also present in the function. In his address, Executive Director S Raja congratulated all the employees on the occasion of National Safety week. In his address, he explained that VRMP Project has completed 28 million man hours without any accident.
He said that right from the design stage to the execution stages modern technologies are extensively used in the VRMP project sites for ensuring safe construction. Addressing the function, Visakh Refinery ED V Ratanraj said that the Refinery has always been a front runner in the use of advanced technologies for enhancing safety and health in the work locations.
