Teachers urge government to solve problems

Leaders of teachers’ unions handing over a memorandum to District Collector Md Imtiaz in Vijayawada on Friday

Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector Md Imtiaz participated in the coordination meeting at the Collector Camp Office here on Friday with Progressive Recognised Teachers Union (PRTU), State Teachers Union (STU), United Teachers Federation (UTF) and Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation (APTF) who are the permanent members of the Joint Staff Council of Civil Servants.

District Educational Officer Rajyalakshmi, SSA Project Officer KDVM Prasad, ZP CEO Salaam were also present on the occasion. A representation was given to the Collector by the teacher's union leaders on the occasion. Later, a detailed discussion was held on the educational department Provident Fund and Medical bills.

PRTU leaders D Srinu, GVS Perumallu and others brought to the notice of the officials about the problems like seniority lists of teachers, promotions, school grants, PF loans. They also brought to the notice of the district Collector about problems related to PF online system, medical bills and other issues. The union leaders expressed their happiness, as the Collector assured them to solve the matter in a month.
