Tirupati: AP State Police Duty meet from Jan 4 to 7

Tirupati: AP State Police Duty meet will be held from January 4-7 in Tirupati city, said Anantapur Range DIG Kanthi Rana Tata.

On Tuesday, the DIG released a poster relating to the police duty meet and said that after the State bifurcation for the first time AP Police Department will be conducting the State-level duty meet in Tirupati city.

He added that across 13 districts, from constables to ASP cadre officers will take part in this duty meet. Competitions will be held in computer skills, finger print, photography etc, the DIG said.

For the smooth conduct of AP State police duty meet, duties have been allotted to senior IPS officers and trainee IPS officers, he added.

"We would conduct the events at Tirupati Armed Reserve Police Grounds and at Police Training College (near Kalyani dam), he said.

Tirupati urban police made the necessary arrangements for organising the event. SP A Ramesh Reddy and other senior officials were present.
