Traffic police take up Keep Left drive in Ongole

Ongole: The Prakasam district traffic police, on the instructions of Andhra Pradesh Director-General of Police Gautam Sawang and district superintendent of Police Siddharth Kaushal initiated the road safety week in the name of 'Keep Left' drive.

The traffic DSP K Venu Gopal has organised a rally in the town to create awareness on road safety among auto drivers, taxi and cab drivers from Kurnool road flyover to the APSRTC bus stand in the name of 'Keep Left'.

The DSP said that they were organizing awareness drive from October 6 to 12. He said that the public should drive their vehicles keeping on left and the pedestrians also should walk on the left. He advised that everyone should follow traffic rules and observe the vehicles on the road.

He said that road accidents can be avoided by following the traffic rules. The Traffic Sub-Inspectors of Police Khasim, Choudaiah, Ravi Kumar, Hari Babu and others also participated in the program.
