Training camp for forest officials held at APSFA

Rajamahendravarm: Andhra Pradesh State Forest Academy (APSFA) director JSN Murthi has said that the Academy would be developed on all fronts. The Academy imparts training to the forest department officials to enhance their working skills.

Inaugurating the training programme for the 7th batch of forest beat officers and 4th batch of forest section officers at the academy on Monday evening, he said that the problems arise during discharging of duties can be addressed by getting proper training.

The officials should work with commitment and dedication to deliver the goods in right time and it is their duty to protect the forest area. There are 45,500 varieties of trees and 91,000 species of animals in 23.4 percent of forest area in the country.

The government is very much particular to increase forest area and at the same time to protect the forest. He advised the trainees to avail this training programme judiciously to prove their mettle in their duties.

Forest Department Section Officers' Course Director V Srihari Gopal, Forest Beat Officers Course Director MV Prasad Rao, faculty members and others were present on the occasion.
