Two more corona suspect cases registered at Kurnool Government General Hospital
Kurnool: On Tuesday two more Corona suspected cases have been registered at Kurnool Government General Hospital (KGGH). A resident of Kadapa that has come to Kurnool from Netherland was admitted at the isolation ward. Another resident of Kurnool town was also being treated at the isolation ward. He has come from Toronto in Canada. Both are suspected to have affected with the deadly virus. The blood samples were sent to Virology department at Sri Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Science (SVIMS) at Tirupati.
The KGGH superintendent, GS Ram Prasad in a statement on Tuesday stated that the blood samples of third corona suspected person indicated negative. He was discharged from the hospital and he would be under home isolation for another 14 days. Ram Prasad appealed the people not to believe rumours making rounds in social media.
There was a rumour that coronavirus spread to the District Police Office. Recently, a police official's son had come from Germany and he was admitted at the isolation ward as he was suffering from cold, cough and fever. Later he was discharged after his blood samples proved negative. But, he was kept under home isolation for another 14 days. Superintendent of Police (SP), Fakkeerappa Kaginelli directed the staff to sanitise the surroundings.
The District Collector, G Veera Pandiyan has said that 7 interstate check posts have been set up on the borders of Kurnool district. The devotees entering the district from Karnataka and Maharashtra would be screened by the medical teams.
