Unknown dead body found in Krishna river near Achampet

Achampet: An unknown dead body of a man was found in Krishna river on Monday. The local fishermen noticed the floating body near left Patalaganga and immediately informed Amrabad police station.

On receiving the information, Achampet DSP Narsimulu, Amrabad CI Bissanna, Eegalapenta SI Venkataiah, and other police team reached the spot, inspected the body, and reviewed the situation.

Speaking on the occasion, CI said that the body got decomposed, after the Panchnama, the final rites were conducted at the cemetery in Domalapenta. The deceased was wearing a blue colour shirt and black pant. He is aged about 38 - 40 years who's height is 5.7 ft.

He said to contact them if there is any missing case matching with the description. Regarding the bloodstains found on the bridge in Krishna river, the police suspect that some unidentified person would have killed a man and dumped him in the river. On this issue, the police registered a case and investigating further, CI said.
