Vijayawada: Happy Valley students excel in sports

Vijayawada: The students of Dr KKR Happy Valley School excelled in sports and won medals in various categories. M Chetan represented Krishna district Basket Ball team in under 14 years category and won gold medal, R Likith represented the district Chess team and won bronze medal at the 65th School Games Basket Ball and Chess Tournament held at Palakollu from October 18 to 20.

The school players also won medals at the district level athletic games organised by the Athletic School Games Federation Association on October 15 at Giduvada. Sai Santhosh secured second prize in 400 meters hurdles in under 17 years boys category, Sai Santhosh also secured third place in 100 meters hurdles. Sai Balaji secured third place in 100 meters running.

In under 14 years category 100 metres running, Satyadeep secured third place and got selected for state level athletics. On the occasion, the school head Dr Koteshwara Rao, directors K Avinash, K Sriteja, principal Ch Sarala congratulated the players and the coach.
