Vijayawada: Students hail TS cops action
Vijayawada: The students of Siddhartha Women's College praised the police for encountering the four culprits of Disha rape and murder case. The students distributed chocolates and beat drums hailing the prime punishment to the culprits.
The students of Siddhartha Women's College expressed their happiness by beating drums with sticks, congos and hand drums. They have also danced to the tune of music on the college campus.
Students S Lakshmi and G Aruna and others said that the whole country including Parliament condemned the heinous rape and burning of Disha by the four accused. They say, "There are powerful laws for the protection of women, but they are failing in implementation at ground-level. Moral teaching from an early stage is important to the children to turn into good and responsible citizens in future."
They thanked the police concerned for honouring the wishes of lakhs of people in serving justice to the victim and hoped this would be an eye-opener to those who resort to such barbaric crimes.
Similarly, the students in various areas of Krishna and Guntur districts hailed the punishment given to the culprits and sought strict implementation of laws for the protection of women.
