Visakhapatnam: VSEZ officials pay homage to Galwan martyrs
Visakhapatnam: The officials of VSEZ, Visakhapatnam, with 510 units in the States of AP, Telangana and Chattisgarh, observed a two minute silence on Thursday from their respective units to pay the homage to the martyr Lt Col Santosh, and his team of 20 soldiers, who sacrificed their lives while performing duty at LAC at Galwan valley.
Keeping in view the Covid-19 and lockdown, and the necessity to observe social distance norms, Development Commissioner A Rama Mohan Reddy held a virtual videoconference with all the units, Customs Officers of all the States under his jurisdiction from the administrative building of VSEZ located at Duvvada in Visakhapatnam and paid homage to the martyrs.
Speaking on the occation on webinar, Reddy said the services rendered by the commander are invaluable to the nation and the nation will never forget their family members. On the occasion were present Kiran, JDC, Prathamesh, JC, DDC, ADCs, Superintendents Customs, and other staff. Also, VSEZ officials took an oath that henceforth no Chinese goods will be procured and use of Zoom will also be discontinued for all government virtual meetings.
