Vizag Gas Leak: Andhra ministers' stays overnight at RR Venkatapuram village

MP Vijaysai Reddy slept in the gas leak affected villages on Monday night

Four ministers Avanthi Srinivas, Botsa Satyanarayana, Dharmana Krishnadas, Kurasala Kannababu, MP Vijaysai Reddy and Vishakha MP MVV Satyanarayana on the behest of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy have slept in the gas leak affected villages on Monday night. Speaking to the media on Tuesday morning, MP Vijay Saireddy, who slept outdoors in the affected village, said the government's aim was to reassure the public not to panic. Minister Avanthi Srinivas, who slept at the home of a victim in Padmanabhanagar, said that the situation in Gas leak villages is under control.

Kannababu, the in-charge minister who stayed at the victims' home in Venkatapuram, said that the people of the affected villages fell asleep after three days of government action. He said that the people's confidence in the villages has increased with the efforts of CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. MP MVV Satyanarayana stayed at the home of a victim in Venkatadri Nagar. Minister Dharmana Krishnadas slept in the SC and BC Colony on Monday night.

Ministers said medical camps would be set up in every village. The enumeration will begin with the cooperation of volunteers from today. The toxic gas leak accident has happened on Thursday morning from LG Polymers company at RR Venkatapuram village in Visakhapatnam. As many as 12 people died, and hundreds have injured with the toxic gas release.
