Vizag GVMC School students wield brooms, clean up campus
Visakhapatnam: Wielding brooms and dustbins, students of GVMC School, Thotagaruvu cleaned the school premises on Saturday. Unlike the regular periods, this Saturday, they teamed up to keep the campus litter-free.
Contributing their bit to the 15-day-long Swachhta Pakhwada initiated by HPCL-Visakh Refinery, the cleanliness drive reached the municipal school followed by a puppet show held in KDPM School.
Students considered the platform, supported by Dhan Foundation, an opportunity to coordinate and work in tandem for the benefit of school and environment.
SwachhWays
This apart, an exclusive session for HPCL tanker drivers was organised on the occasion. Nageswara Rao, Ramesh and Sekhar, among others from Brahmakumaris conducted a talk show for the drivers.
Connecting cleaning the environs with clearing the clutter in one's minds, representatives of Brahmakumaris laid emphasis on practising meditation and keeping their surroundings clean. Videos were also screened to participants in this regard. About 60 participants attended the 'HP SwachhWays' that continued for one-and-a-half hours.
