Vizianagaram: Deputy Chief Minister P Pushpa Srivani stated that tribal engineering college which is proposed to be established in Kurupam would change the lives of tribals. The education would definitely uplift the living standards of the people. Only the educated can avail the schemes being implemented by the government, she said.

She visited the site at Tekagandi village of Kurupam mandal in Vizianagaram along with S Pareekshit Raju, YSRCP in-charge of Araku Lok Sabha constituency on Saturday. She said that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was very much concerned over the welfare of tribals and sanctioned tribal engineering college to Kurupam district in entire Andhra Pradesh.

"This engineering college would definitely change the face of our constituency. Our tribal students can avail quality higher education nearby their villages and can reach higher positions in their lives," she said. B R Ambedkar, Project officer of ITDA and others were present.
