Vizianagaram: SP B Rajakumari cooks food for migrant labourers at midnight
Vizianagaram: The police boss of the district proved that she can cook for the needy at her home when food is not available for the hungry inmate of quarantine centre around midnight on Friday.
Superintendent of Police B Rajakumari reached home at 11.30 pm after finishing her work. She was about to take rest as she need to wake up at 4 am to start her daily duty.
Suddenly her phone rang and some migrant labourers were crying asking for food at a quarantine center. She knew that it was too late to get food from outside and she started preparing food on her own at her bungalow.
After 30 minutes, she rushed towards the quarantine centre and distributed the food among the hungry people. A few migrant labourers came from Nellore district were admitted at Lendi College quarantine centre late night and they reached there empty stomach.
The SP, after receiving the call, immediately got some breads and prepared some food at her home and moved to the quarantine centre. She distributed the food to the inmates suffering with hunger. The woman, who called the SP over mobile phone was shocked to see Rajakumari at midnight and could not believe her eyes. With this, the women migrant workers were happy with the support rendered by the SP.
