Vizianagaram: SP Rajakumari hails gesture of police towards accident victim

Vizianagaram: Superintendent of Police B Rajakumari on Monday hailed the gesture of the police for donating Rs 88,000 to next to kin of a victim, who was killed in road mishap near Bhogapuram recently.

According to sources, a man was killed in a road accident near Bhogapuram and his wife sustained serious injuries and their 11-month-old boy was crying continuously after watching her parents' fate. The police identified the victim as P Srinivasa Rao and admitted his wife in Apollo hospital. After observing the fate of 11 months old boy Tanvir, the police collected contributions from their colleagues and donated Rs 88,000 to next to kin of victim through the SP as a social responsibility. OSD J Rammohan and others were also present in the programme.
