Welfare schemes to reach eligible after YSR Navasakam survey: Collector Dr Pola Bhaskara
Ongole: Prakasam District Collector Dr Pola Bhaskara announced that the YSR Navasakam, a prestigious survey being taken up by the Andhra Pradesh government would provide the fruits of development and welfare programs in the state to every eligible family.
Explaining about the YSR Navasakam survey in a press meet held on Tuesday, the collector said that the government is taking up the survey to provide welfare schemes to all eligible beneficiaries. He requested the public to cooperate with the ward and village volunteers and provide the information they were asked.
He said that the survey will be done in different formats to receive all required information from the public to provide various benefits based on it. He announced that the beneficiaries for YSR Rice Card, YSR Pension Card, YSR Arogyasri Card, Jagananna Vidya Deevena Card, Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Card, Amma Vodi, YSR Kapu Nestam, YSR Zero Interest, salaries for the priests in temples, honorariums for imams and muezzins in masjids and pastors in churches, monetary help to tailors, Rajaka and Naayi Brahmin communities would be identified through the Navasakam survey.
The collector announced that the ward and village volunteers are being trained to conduct the survey as per the guidelines set by the government and the tahsildars, MPDOs, MEOs, APMs, EOPRDS, hostel and social welfare officers were already created awareness on the survey.
He asked the public to be available at the homes to provide information to the volunteers and verify their names displayed at the village and ward secretariats to demand corrections or objections in the lists. He said that if any eligible persons are not in the list they would be provided with an opportunity to include the names.
He said that some schemes will be implemented immediately while some are implemented on a monthly and yearly basis. He announced that 705057 families in the rural, 155450 families in urban areas will be surveyed by 14728 volunteers in the district.
The additional joint collector K Narendra Prasad, DRO V Venkatasubbaiah, land acquisition special collector G Gangadhar Goud, ZP CEO Kailash Giriswar, DPO Narayana Reddy, DRDA PD J Elisha, RWS SE Sanjeeva Reddy and others also participated in the program.
