Yarada to be developed as one of the top beaches in country
Visakhapatnam:: Yarada beach is going to be revamped as one of the top beaches in the country, Tourism Minister M. Srinivasa Rao said on Sunday. Describing it as one of the most beautiful stretches of the coastline in the district, the Minister mentioned the number of tourists has increased in the area in the recent past.
"Keeping this in view, more facilities will be provided to the tourists at the frequently-visited spot," the Minister stated, inaugurating the development works initiated at Yarada,
Srinivasa Rao said that the facilities available in the area were not catering to the needs of the increasing number of tourists and that steps would be taken to improve the infrastructure at Yarada.
Further, he informed that if the place is developed into a tourist spot, it would give way to more number of employment opportunities to the youth as well. "Efforts are in place to develop Yarada towards this direction as the area is known for its picturesque beauty that continues to draw the attention of several film-makers," Srinivasa Rao added.
Speaking about other amenities, the Minister said plans are afoot to improve the transport facilities in the area so that tourists can utilise them to commute with ease. When asked about the number of TDP leaders joining the YSRCP, the Minister stated that he had no clue about it.
Visakhapatnam MP M V V Satyanarayana, MLAs Gudivada Amarnath and Tippala Nagi Reddy, among others also visited the Yarada beach along with the Tourism Minister.
