YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announces lockdown of Andhra Pradesh till March 31
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy after the high-level review meeting with the concerned officials over the coronavirus addressed the media and announced the lockdown of Andhra Pradesh till March 31. The chief minister has appreciated the police, health officials, public for making the Janata Curfew call given by the prime minister Narendra Modi to curtail the coronavirus.
CM YS Jagan said isolation is the only way to prevent corona spread. "Already 12 states have been announced the closure of interstate borders and we are also closing interstate borders and have decided to lockdown the state till 31st this month, " CM YS Jagan said. He said that that only emergency vehicles are allowed and people are advised to come out for emergency purposes. The CM said that they have decided to conduct the tenth class from March 31.
The chief minister has said that the essential goods will be supplied to the poor at the doorstep and warned of the serve actions if those who sell the goods for high prices. He urged the Collectors to take action for increasing prices. On the other hand, the chief minister has asserted that they would give a price list for the goods to be sold.
He advised the people to cooperate with the government to curtail the spread of the virus. YS Jagan urged all those who come from abroad to self-quarantine for 14 days and police should be vigilant against such people. "We will hold assembly meetings soon and approve the budget, " YS Jagan said.
