Kadapa: In response to call given by Visakha Vukku Parirakshana Porata Committee all political parties and their related trade unions expect BJP supported the bandh against privatization of Visakhapatnam steel plant in Kadapa district on Friday.

Banks, commercial establishments hotels, cinema halls etc remained closed since the morning.

Following support extended by the government for the bandh call all public and private organizations remained closed. RTC services confined to depots across the district.

Following closure of banks lakhs worth of various transanctions were stalled all banks in the district.

Leaders and functionaries from left parties staged protests at several places demanding the BJP lead NDA government to withdraw the decision of privatising the Visakhapatnam steel plant.
