Adult Comedy becomes successful in Telugu

We rarely see an adult comedy getting released in Telugu film industry. The audience here is still conservative and is not as open as the Bollywood cinephiles. But it seems that slowly, the trend is changing. The box office performance of recent adult comedy flick, Cheekati Gadhilo Chitakottudu proves that people are accepting the films of this genre.

The film is an official remake of Tamil film Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu. It had Adith and Hemanth in the lead roles. It had hit the screens on 21st of March and is still running with a decent occupancy at the theatres. The distributors are happy with its performance.

They said that they bought the film's right for a less price and the film is getting decent occupancy, even though it is not getting full every day. They stated that youngsters are the main reason for making it a safe venture. The lack of new releases also helped this film to have a good run at the box office. Thus, it ended up as a profitable venture even though didn't become a hit.
