When we speak about the biopics, we have already witnessed the life stories of cricketer MS Dhoni, freedom fighter and queen Jhansi Laxmibai, Mathematician Shakuntala Devi, etc., on the big screens. As the biopics trend is on in Bollywood, the makers are trying to entertain the audience by showing off the life stories of legendary personalities. Following the same funda even the ace producer Ronnie Screwvala is all set to showcase the life story of hockey legend Dhyan Chand.

Along with sharing the throwback pic of hockey legend Dhyan Chand, this post also has the collage of director and producer of this movie. There also rumours that, a few Bollywood A-listers are being considered for the titular role.

The director of this movie Abhishek Chaubey already proved his mettle with the movies Ishqiya, DedhIshqiya, Udta Punjab and Sonchiriya. Thus, the audience has high expectations on this biopic.

Speaking about the Hockey legend Dhyan Chand, he was an ace hockey player in the Indian team for almost 2 decades. He was the captain of the Indian hockey team and also made the country proud by making his team win 3 Olympic gold medals in 1928, 1932 and 1936 years. He was born on August 29, 1905 in Prayagraj (then Allahabad) and was fondly called as 'Wizard'. His career holds 400+goals in almost 185 matches. Speaking about the awards, this hockey legend was felicitated with the 'Padma Bhushan' in 1956. Even his birth anniversary is celebrated as 'National Sports Day'.
