DAV hosts second edition of MUN in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The second edition of DAV Model United Nations was organised and hosted by DAV Public School, Safilguda, Hyderabad. It was a Three-Day event from 08th November to 10th .

The Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony was Dr R S Praveen Kumar, IPS, Secretary -Social Welfare And Tribal Welfare Residential Schools, Telengana , who asked the delegates to understand and debate upon the complex issues affecting the whole world by understanding the ground realities.

He also highlighted upon the initiative taken by the Telangana Government in educating students in terms of Global Politics and International Relations. His eloquent speech inspired and motivated the young and vibrant audience.

This year the event had around 300 students from around 15 schools of the twin cities in attendance, along with the Executive Board members from across the country, which makes the event a National affair.

The conference was convened by the Principal of the host school, K Parthipan who emphasized upon educating students about public speaking, civilized debating, diplomacy, collaborative work, problem solving etc. The Chief Advisor of DAV MUN, Kalyan Srinivas Raygalla has been providing huge support with regard to the planning and execution of the event.

The insights gained by the students during the course of this Three-Day event is definitely going to prepare them to be world leaders with a difference. The event is being conducted in the true spirit of the United Nations Convention.

The unique feature of the convention is #BYOB – BRING YOUR OWN BOTTLES. The event also includes some fun filled activities for the participants to unwind like the musical journey, DJ night, Cuebass etc.
