Hyderabad's youngest activist known for her activism against drug abuse, tobacco and for water conservation, Taniya Begum is the latest to join the green challenge 'Hara Hai Toh Bhara Hai'. She is inspired by the challenge taken up by TRS MP J Santhosh Kumar. The eight-year-old girl planted three saplings in a ground near her home.

She is requesting everyone to plant saplings in order to help the environment. "I am waiting for a valuable message and reply for greener India challenge. On an average, a tree produces 100 kgs of oxygen per year.

It means that on an average a person consumers oxygen produced by three trees in a year" says Taniya Begum She also challenged Tamilisai Soundar Rajan, Telangana Governer, Kiran Bedi, Lieutenant governer of Puducherry and Sabitha Indra Reddy, Telangana Education Minister.

Kiran Bedi responded to her challenge on Facebook and said, "I will be participating in a green drive on 14th of September." "Educating and sensitising humans about the environment around them is the first and foremost step in achieving ecological harmony.

When we plant and nurture trees, there is a direct connect formed which in turn makes one responsible towards all aspects of mother earth like water conservation, not cutting trees, and reducing garbage wastes.

This has gained momentum and has grown from a local to a national cause," said Shaik Saluddin, Taniya's father." "She is interested in such activities, so we are encouraging her" he added.

When asked about her dream she said "Main Desh ko Bachaungi Sainik Banke Dikhaungi."Taniya is Junior Camping Head for Drug Free world, India and union Member of Youth for Human Right International. She also takes an active part in no plastic campaigns etc.
