This micro artist is in great demand
Meet this Maharashtra-based micro artist Ajinkya Sanjay Manathkar who recently crated world record by carving "Shiva Linga" on a 5mm*4mm pencil lead. The 23-year-old said, it took him two hours to craft it. He's being invited for social programmes as a guest since then. The self-taught artist makes different kinds of arts on pencils, chalk, soap, crayons, wood, paper cutting art, cement planters and many more.
"Art has always been a part of me. It's been five years since I got into this and I am very happy. My dad Sanjay Manathkar has always supported me in every situation. While making art he sits with me," the passion driven Ajinkya said.
"It was at age of 15 when I got fascinated with micro carving. I used to take small pieces of chalks left out by our teachers and carve something on them using my compass. I had no one to teach me the art form then and so practiced it on my own. Over the years I harnessed my skill. Out of my passion for the art I discontinued my engineering and pursued my degree from International Academy of Computer Graphic (IACG) in Dilsukhnagar," said Ajinkya
His artworks are available on order. They can be customised for any special occasions or one can order any of the existing works. Ajinkya wants to continue with micro art as it brings him a lot of satisfaction. He wants to start art studio where anybody can learn any types of art forms under one roof.
