Secunderabad: Shiva Linga brought from Kashi installed

Secunderabad: 'Vishwanatha Pratishta Mahotsavam, installation of Ganapathi, Subramanya Swamy and Shiva Linga, was performed with religious fervour at Dhood Bavi of Mettuguda division on Thursday. The three-day celebration (from February 17 to 19), organized by BJP Greater Hyderabad vice president Bandapalli Satish, was conducted on a grand note. BJP state president Dr K Lakshman was invited as chief guest of the idol installation program. Dr Lakshman offered special pujas to the idols. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Lakshman congratulated Satish for installing Shiva Linga idol specially brought from Kashi.

Fifteen Vedic Pandits from Vargal performed various religious rituals such as Ganapathi Puja, Ankurarchana, Akhanda Deeparadhana, Agni Pratishta, Mula Mantraharanam, Yantra Pratishta, Murthy Pratishta, Prana Pratishta, Purna Ahuthi and other pujas, as part of the program.

Banda Satish, the donor said that the Linga was specially brought from Kashi, following Hindu traditions, as per the instructions of Dhood Bavi Basti Committee and was installed with religious rituals. He said that the celebrations were conducted for three days and a large number of devotees visited the temple and offered special prayers.

BJP senior leader Venkata Ramani, Hari, Venkat Goud, Krishnamurthy, Prabhu Gupta, Nageshwar Reddy, Sarangapani, Mahesh and others were present on the occasion.
