Baba Fasiuddin conducts surprise inspections

Ziaguda: GHMC Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin on Wednesday conducted surprise inspections in several areas with a view to removing water stagnation and ensuring sanitation in the context of prevailing viral fevers, particularly Dengue, and seasonal ailments.

During the visit, he personally removed stagnated water and piled-up garbage in several localities of Ziaguda division. He was accompanied by local Corporator Mitra Krishna, the GHMC Deputy Commissioner, the Medical Officer and the Entomology staff.

Interacting with local residents, Fasiuddin advised them to maintain their houses and surroundings clean and green. He cautioned them that dirty surroundings and water stagnation would give rise to mosquitoes leading to spread of diseases. He informed them that mosquitoes lay eggs in water tanks, cement drums, discarded empty coconuts and old tyres.

He advised the residents to visit the nearest government hospital in case of severe fever, headache, skin rashes, joint pains. The Deputy Mayor also inspected construction of 2 BHK houses and Ziaguda slaughter house.
