Bathukamma gifts distributed

Serilingampally: The State government is arranging distribution of the 'Bathukamma' sarees with the aim of enabling poor women to celebrate the festival on a grand scale, said local corporator Ragam Nagender Yadav on Friday.

He distributed the 'Bathukamma' sarees to women in the government school at Papireddy Colony. He stated that CM KCR was keen that all classes of people celebrate all festivals. Hence, clothes were being distributed every year under the aegis of the government, he added.

Among those present at the event were ward member Podugu Rambabu, TRS leaders Baddam Kondal Reddy, Venu, Ramesh, Linga Reddy, Rajamallu, Srikanth, Santosh, Kanakalakshmi, Renuka, S R P Balraj and S F A Shiva.
