Be active partners in Swachh Hyderabad programme: corporator V Jagdishwar Goud

Madhapur: Local corporator V Jagdishwar Goud on Sunday called upon people to be partners in the Swachh Hyderabad programmes by keeping their house surroundings clean and green and help make the city beautiful.

Speaking after flagging off Re-cyclothon Hyderabad Programme in Chandranaik Thanda, along with GHMC sanitation staff, during which garbage autos took part in a rally, he pointed to the city securing worldwide recognition for its gastronomic delights, due to the State government's initiatives. Goud wanted the citizens to take up cleanliness as a personal responsibility so as to ensure that the city stands no.1 in sanitation drive in the country.

The corporator said until November 12, the Swachh autos would go to each house to collect household scrap like plastic items, papers, electronic goods, broken furniture, mattresses, metallic products, while requesting people to hand over such items to the auto drivers.

Local residents Hanya Naik, Tarayya Naik, Lalu Naik, Ramulu, Khanya Naik, Narsimha, Shyam, Srinivas Goud, Shiva, Prasad, sanitation supervisor Srinivas Reddy were present at the flag-off.
