Chandanagar: Serilingampally Corporator Ragam Nagender Yadav, along with SCR officials, on Tuesday visited Papireddy Colony close to Chandanagar railway station in the light of local residents and railway passengers facing hardships with collection of sewerage, rainwater and garbage near the station and adjacent to tracks.

Yadav suggested that a Swachh Bharat/Swachh Hyderabad programme would be taken up along with local residents to solve the problem. As part of the programme, saplings would be planted at the spots on Wednesday by SCR GM Malya, DRM Anand Pandya and AGM Subramanyam.

He urged SCR Senior Divisional Engineer Subash to take up widening of the Papireddynagar-Chandanagar Railway Station Road. He assured to initiate steps by GHMC to prevent collection of sewerage and rainwater. Yadav appealed to locals to maintain cleanliness around their houses. Among those present during the inspection were Subash, railway officials and residents.
