Biodiversity junction flyover opens today

Hyderabad: The 990-metre Level 2 flyover at Biodiversity Junction from Mehdipatnam side to Kukatpally side will be thrown open to public on Monday. It would ease traffic congestion by providing a conflict free movement at the junction and will provide relief to traffic moving on Old Mumbai Highway from Mehdipatnam to Mind Space (Hi-Tec City).

With the completion of the flyover at Biodiversity Junction, along with the already completed projects of SRDP Package-IV at Mind Space Junction, Ayyappa Society Junction and Rajiv Gandhi Junction, a conflict free traffic flow has been facilitated from Biodiversity Junction (Old Mumbai Highway) to JNTU (National Highway-65).The flyover will be inaugurated by MA&UD minister KT Rama Rao and GHMC Mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan.

The project which started on April 2, 2016 has been completed at a cost of Rs 69.47 cr. It is a construction of multi level/grade separators at four junctions namely Biodiversity Junction, Mind Space Junction, Ayyappa Society, Rajiv Gandhi Statue Junction including widening and strengthening of existing at grade road at Mind Space Junction in Hyderabad under Engineering, Procurement and Constructions (EPC)- Turnkey (Package-IV)
