BJR in foray as BJP face from Chevella
Rajendranagar: Kicking off a hectic campaign on the last day of filing of nomination, the BJP candidate B Janardhan Reddy filed his nomination at MRO Office Rajendranagar here on Monday as a party candidate from Chevella Lok Sabha Constituency.
The BJP candidate arrived around 11 am in the morning, being accompanied by former union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, to file his nomination papers. His wife also saw accompanied him. Later, the Telangana State BJP president K Lakshman too joined him at the MRO office here.
A real estate businessman, Janardhan Reddy hails from Chandrayangutta, the interior part of Old City. He started his political career with the saffron party. Later, he joined Congress under the rule of then Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy but the political turmoil in the state after YSR demise and the subsequent Telangana statehood movement saw him switch back to BJP again.
During the last few years, he expanded his base significantly among the party cadres and showed keen interest in strengthening the party as the in-charge of Chevella Parliamentary constituency. He is currently holding the position of in-charge BJP Chevella Parliamentary constituency even as the party declares him the candidate from the same segment.
Speaking to media persons soon after filing his nomination, he asserted that only under the leadership of Prime Minister Narander Modi can the nation grow stronger and prosper more. "The whole nation sees an up-and-comer leader in Narender Modi under whose leadership the country is heading to achieve many milestones in the years to come.
Modi is striving relentlessly for the development of every community in the country and, hence, people want to continue to see him as the Prime Minister. The schemes he has introduced for the peasant community have changed the lives of farmers. To make the country stronger we need to stand by the leader like Narandra Modiji who is working for the overall development of the country irrespective of any political affiliation and there is no alternate to Modiji to lead the nation," said Janardhan Reddy.
Reddy expressed hope that with the blessings of Chevella people, he would win the seat with a resounding majority and thus would be able to work for the overall development of the region and the welfare of the people, besides strengthening the party in the constituency. Later on, a rally was also organised covering many areas of the constituency. It witnessed the presence of hundreds of supporters and senior leaders.
