BMS gears up to win HMWSSB union polls
Charminar: HMWSSB BMS union president K Shankar along with other union leaders Ramesh, Sathyanarayana, Amareshwar, Mohan Das and Srinivasa Chari met the board workers in the city on Friday as part election campaign and appealed to them to vote for BMS in the forthcoming union elections.
Speaking during his campaign, K Shankar criticized the recognized union for providing any facilities to the workers. The recognised union has failed to provide houses and health cards to employees, he said. He warned them of the government plans to privatize the water board. He said that the state government has never cared for water board employees.
While the neighbouring state has given 27 per cent IR to its employees, the Telangana government, which has promised PRC in July 2018, did not even give IR, he lamented. He warned employees not to vote for Kamagar and TRS unions as both are affiliated to TRS government. He exuded confidence that BMS would win in the forthcoming elections as he has received tremendous response from the board employees.
