Bohras' spiritual head to inaugurate masjid today

Charminar: The spiritual head of Dawoodi Bohra community, Dr Syedna Muffadil Saifuddin, will be inaugurating the Masjid-e-Burhani at Hussaini Alam on Saturday.

Two of the three floors of this Bohra Community Mosque have been reserved for female members of the community, while a total of 2,500 persons can offer the prayer at once.

The 53rd spiritual leader who is on his maiden visit to Hyderabad after his anointment will also be meeting traders and senior members of the community in City. During his stay in Hyderabad, the spiritual leader will be staying at Hussaini Villa at Red Hills.

He will address the community members at Majid e Mohammadi there. He will also inaugurate the Smart Kitchen at this centre at Red Hills. The kitchen, exclusively set up on the advice of the spiritual leader, is dedicated for the Bohra community and built to provide one time meals everyday to fellow community members regardless of their economic status.

It is a global custom among the Bohra community to provide one-time meals to fellow community members everyday from the community kitchen. He has advised senior community members in Hyderabad to religiously follow this practice in Hyderabad. He advised the people to uphold cleanliness, undertake plantation and keep surroundings hygienic outdoors and indoors.
