Bonalu festivities in IT hub on July 14

Gachibowli (NSS): IT corridor in city has gained a new identity by virtue of Bonalu for a few years, thanks to the efforts of the Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) and its associates.

Besides Golconda and Lal Darwaza, the IT corridor Bonalu is also becoming popular over the years. Dappu, Kolatam, Oggudolu and other performances create festival atmosphere across the IT corridor during Bonalu. The Bonalu procession in the IT area was being taken out for past six years and TITA is organizing Bonalu Jatara on July 14. The Telangana techies are going to offer special prayers and 21 Bonalu offerings to the deity Chinna Peddamma for fulfilling their prayers for enhancement in IT exports.

Poet Mittapalli Surender has written the lyrics of TITA Bonalu 2019 song. The Telangana festivities and programs were never used to be organized in the IT corridor before the formation of separate State. However, now these programs are organized with a lot of pomp and reverence. TITA has been organizing such events in IT corridor even before the State formation. The TITA is organizing the events with the support of Telangana Language and Culture Department.
