Challa Hospital gets 6th dialysis centre

Ameerpet: A city-based Bhagwan Mahavir Jain Relief Trust which offers medical services to kidney patients at affordable rates at its five dialysis centres in the city, inaugurated its sixth dialysis centre at Challa Hospital in Ameerpet on Sunday. The centre was inaugurated by the project sponsor, Rajesh Agarwal, proprietor of NKM Construction Limited.

The Bhagwan Mahavir Jain Relief Trust has procured 8 dialysis machines at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore to set up the dialysis unit. The facility would be offering each dialysis session for a nominal price of Rs 200.

Bhagwan Mahavir Jain Relief Foundation is already operating 24 dialysis machines at Zoi Hospital, Attapur, 24 dialysis machines at Koti Government Hospital, 26 machines at Mahaveer Hospital, AC Guards, 8 machines at Gurunanak Medical Center, Secunderabad, and 12 machines at Ramdev Rao Hospital, Kukatpally.

The foundation has managed to provide 6,50,000 dialysis sessions to 1200 kidney patients from various parts of the State since 2009. It has also provided 8,62,904 erythropoietin iron, and levocarnitine injections at a discounted rate to the patients. Members from the Mahavir Foundation, doctors and Ramdev Rao hospitals were present.
