Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy inaugurates first dialysis centre in Nirmal
Nirmal: Forest and Endowments Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy inaugurated 10-bedded Kidney Dialysis Centre at Area Government Hospital in Nirmal on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that this is the first dialysis centre in the district and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has directed to use disposable equipment instead of recycling the equipment used for dialysis at a cost of one rupee per day.
Mission Bhagiratha water is being supplied to the hospital at a cost of Rs 20, he said and added that they will further develop the Area Hospital with Rs 20 crore and develop the MCH Hospital into a 100-bed hospital.
Minister Indrakaran Reddy specially congratulated Dr Raghu Nandan Reddy, son of Dr Mallikarjuna Reddy, who did hip replacement surgery free of cost at Area Hospital. He said that the surgery costing Rs 4 lakh in private hospitals.
District Collector Musharraf Ali Farooqui said Nirmal Area Hospital staff is working hard to provide better medical services. Road has been sanctioned with Rs 11 lakh, he added. More and more people are getting kidney disease day-by-day due to the changing lifestyles, he observed.
Later, the Minister distributed blankets to municipal sanitation workers, who served during Covid lockdown under the auspices of Satyasai Service Group.
