Congress alleges huge bogus voting by MIM
Chandrayangutta: The MLA candidate from Congress representing Chandrayangutta in the recently held Assembly elections, Esa Bin Obaid Misri alleged of bogus voting near a polling booth at Rising Son School in Bandlaguda under Chandrayangutta police station limits. He claimed that the crowd of about 50 men tried to attack not only him, but also the local Inspector when the latter asked the group to disperse away from the location.
Following the incident, Esa Misri lodged a complaint at the Chandrayangutta police station and while speaking to media persons, he explained that while he was making rounds, he found about 40 to 50 men, near a polling booth in Bandlaguda and stopped his vehicle. After getting down, he immediately contacted the local police inspector and also police control room to question about the state of affairs at the particular booth.
Later on, after the Inspector appeared at the scene, he approached the Inspector to question the purpose of these people who appeared to be suspicious. When the Inspector tried to quell away the crowd they responded by saying that their presence was to help people from the area vote.
"However, when the Inspector tried hard to dispel the group, he faced resistance from these men. Rather than dispersing from the location, they tried to attack us," he said. "In the melee I fell down, I was asked to leave by the cops. The group even tried to attack the Inspector himself," he alleged.
The Congress leader wondered as to how the elections were being held in this part of the City. When there were prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC were in place, he questioned as to how over 40 men gather at a single place. "I recorded the entire incident on my mobile and this would be evidence if anyone challenges my claims," he noted.
Esa Misri identified some of the leaders and alleged that they belonged to MIM and were listed amongst the top rung leaders of the party. When questioned as to what he was doing or did he entered the polling booth, the Congress leader refuted and held that it was his random visit to the place and was making a round as a representative of a political party in poll fray.
