Seriligampally: Local Corporator Ragam Nagender Yadav on Wednesday undertook a 'padayatra' in Sriramnagar Colony, along with the welfare association members, to know about civic problems. In view of Tuesday night rain and water entering low-lying area and houses in colonies, he went around residential areas to study the prevailing situation.

The residents informed Yadav that lack of CC roads and underground drainage were causing hardships to them. They pointed out that roads were resembling water bodies because of overflowing sewerage and flood water.

The corporator told the residents that already UGD pipeline and CC road-laying works have been taken up in several areas of the division. Similar works would be launched in Sriramnagar Colony too. He directed the officials to clear the stagnated water and sewerage on roads.

Yadav remarked that his aim was to develop the colony in a phased manner. Those who accompanied the corporator during the padayatra were association president Jaganmohan Reddy, general secretary Kranthi, vice-president Venkateswar Rao, joint secretaries Shekhar and Nagaraju.
