Cosplayers bid goodbye to Comic Con
Hitec City: The annual Comic Con fest came to a close as cosplayers from across the city shared jokes and exchanged pleasantries to mark the end of what can be termed as a two-day all-out extravaganza. The 7th Hyderabad Comic Con witnessed more cosplayers because of the prolonged holidays for schools and colleges.
Exciting merchandise, selfie stalls, rare collection of books, comic accessories, games and challenges were held at the fest. Cosplayers donning costumes of their favorite heroes from movies and serials grabbed the attention in the two days of the fest. Jemia cosplaying as Tartelette won the grand cash prize of Rs 50,000 as the ICC Qualifier.
Rahul, a regular to the event, said, "The takeaways this year was the Hip Hop beats, uninterrupted puns, geeky vibe and amazing cosplay. Stand-up comedian from East India Comedy Sapan Verma entertained the crowd with his hilarious puns. Nathan W Pyle, the creator of webcomic Strange Planet had a special conversation over webcomic. The crowd was all pumped up to the crazy beats by internationally acclaimed Beatboxer Ish."
"I love Super Heroes and I wanted to get dressed like one and finally, I got an opportunity to present my creative talents by wearing Super Hero attires. Being a cosplayer, what I take by home is, much of love and affection of fans who love to click pictures and selfies and a lot of memories," said Drak, a cosplayer , a resident of Jubliee Hills.
Fans were seen enthusiastically swarming around the experiential zones from, Terminator, Disney, Birds of Prey by Warner Bros India, World Wrestling Entertainment, Sony Pix, AXN Red Live, AMD Game On, Doritos & the Maruti Suzuki Arena.
