Diverse TS culture leaves foreign poets spell-bound

Charminar: The 3-day, 'A worldly gathering of poets and peers,' which began on September 21 concluded on September 23 on a grand note. Poets from Poland, UK and the Philippines eulogized diverse culture and the unity in diversity of India.

After enjoying the tour programme of Hyderabad for two days, the foreign poets converged at the Salarjung museum at a programme, 'Evening with the Bards,' which was jointly organised by renouned director B Narsing Rao and a prominent poet Dr Lanka Siva Rama Prasad.

Speaking at this unique event organized at Salarjung Museum, United Kingdom's Isabela Zubko said that the Indian culture is unique, which one can never find in any other nation, as everyone here embrace others with open hands.

Poland's Aliciya Kuberska said that she felt like staying back in the 'Nawab City.' Her visit has only increased her respect for the great nation of India. Anna Czachorowska of Philippines said that she was inspired by the beauty of the Hyderabad. She said that the city is different from what she had been told.

The programme was attended by 12 foreign poets, who were part of the delegation visiting the City. Acharya GR Krishna, Y Harish Chandra Prasad, G Kishan Rao, Dr Mythili, Sarala Devi, M Gayathri, Sagar, Gurneet Kataria, P Gopichand, Nagasusheela and other personalities were part of the programme who felicitated the visiting dignitaries on the occasion.

Director Ajithnag coordinated the proceedings. A total of eight compilations of poetry were released during a programme held at Golconda, said Narsinga Rao. Before visiting the state, the poets took part in the International event held at Guntur in Andhra Pradesh.

During their 3-day visit in the city, they toured the places of importance, including Golconda, Shilparamam, Ramoji Film City, Chowmohalla Palace and Charminar before visiting Salarjung Museum on Monday. During their stay, they also enjoyed shopping in the markets near Charminar.
