Eagle stuck in China manja, rescued

Banjara Hills: An eagle was seen hanging precariously from a tree near Care Hospital, Anand Nagar, on Wednesday afternoon. On receipt of information, the personnel of Punjagutta Fire Station to the spot.

After using ladder and struggling for one hour, they finally rescued the bird. It was learnt that the bird was entangled in China Thread (Manja) which is used to fly kites.

The fire service personnel led by the SFO, GB Chandrashekar Babu, and comprising ALF P Govindu, DOP SK Jahangir, FM Sai Krishna, FM Rama Krishna and HG Mahipal Reddy rescued the eagle within one hour.

Prabhu of Blue Cross Society appreciated the work of fire services department despite temperatures soaring above 42 degrees C. He informed that the eagle was safe and recuperating.
