Essay competitions held on Prophet's teachings

Moghalpura: Essay-writing competitions on the life history of Prophet Muhammad were held amongst the students of the State-run Refah-e-Aam High School, Hari Bowli, on Thursday.

In view of birth anniversary of Prophet, the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) women's wing organised the competitions. This according to organisers was part of the ongoing campaign to spread message and teachings of Prophet. Students from 7 to 9 class took active part and later State Secretary of organisation, Ayesha Sultana gave away the prizes to the students who were selected as winners.

Naga Laxmi won the first prize, while Sakshi Agarwal and Siddhulu won second and third prizes respectively. As many 25 other students were presented consolation prizes on the occasion. The prize distribution took place through the hands of Head Miss, Yadamma and other staff.

Speaking on the occasion, Yadamma welcomed the initiative as she felt that students of her school should inculcate not only academic knowledge, but also need to learn history of important personalities for developing social consciousness. Ayesha said that the Prophet's teachings were for the entire humanity and everyone should be made acquainted with his life history.
