Ex-Mutawalli of Yousufain dargah detained yet again
Nampally: The former Mutawalli of Yousufain Dargah, Faisal Ali Shah, was detained once again by the police on Wednesday – this time allegedly for deferring payment of some antique items to complainant, which he had procured earlier. Following a complaint, the Habeeb Nagar police took him into custody and also booked case under different sections.
Earlier in the month of August, the former caretaker of famous Nampally dargah was detained, after he attempted to take out procession without police permission and was sent to the Central Prison. Police officials informed that on intervening night of August 7 and 8, Faisal Ali Shah along with his associates tried to evade arrest. The policemen chased Range Rover in which they were speeding away, and nabbed them in Banjara Hills.
Faisal Shah along with his two of his associates were remanded. The incident created flutter among the city populace. Prior to this incident, he was put under house arrest by Habeeb Nagar police when he tried to participate in another procession of Yousufain Dargah. He continues to claim the position of Sajjada of the Dargah located in Nampally and is believed to be attempting to regain his lost position, even as the term of current Mutawalli would come to an end by October 31.
